Official ad of All-New Nissan Teana is here at last. Here I provided 2 versions: 30sec (for public broadcast) & 45sec (true longest length).
Even though I don’t have any access to see the premiere of BMW 7er (F01/F02), but I’m still not sad, yet still feel fascinated with this one: The Teana J32.
Newer one marked as second generation of Teana. For Thailand since Nissan introduced the Teana to replace the Cefiro, Nissan gained more total sales from this more than its predecessor. I’m just an innocent but don’t know why I also feel pleased with that. Of course, Teana is a product in large sedan segment in Thailand that performed stronger than any previously models in same class by Nissan/Datsun; so this caused Nissan to be stronger for that.
All-new Teana also meant a new opportunity of upbeat to compete nowadays rivals in same segment.
Now let’s talk about this J32 in depth, it’s actually a deciphered result from the Intima concept from 29thBiMS but not its modernized unique side-separated interior and diesel engine. After all, both J32 and Intima concept are based on the newly D-Platform that lets Nissan move to new limits in regenerate for newer level of Beauty and Safety. So it can mean for an absolute art disguised with new level of undilluted safety. Entire body is of course larger inside and out. There are 6 models in lineup and 6 officially exterior colors.
New principle for interior: more quiet and in harmony than ever before. Not just innovative-to-date of course. Its plot is surely reverted back to 5-seater, not same as Intima. “Living room”-in-car concept still not changed at all.
J32 emphasized with 2 new highllights: engine and transmission.
VQ25DE 2.5, that meant a step forward in powertrain of course, replaced VQ23DE. Featuring CVTC / NICS variable-valve timing systems.
Principles are: faster, more smooth & quiet ride, also with cutted-again fuel consumption and environment friendly.

Maximum Torque: 228nm@4,400rpm
Also certified with “Ward’a Auto World 10 Best Engines”, and that’s 14 years running since 1995/2538.
Also available MR20DE 2.0 for base-engine choice.
X-Tronic – unlike any other coggy-type CVT system. Quite everything being controlled by the CPU called “ASC Logic”. So that transmission can accept the individual behaviors and transmission usage styles of drivers with 700+ forms. With benefit to keep engine safe, better accelleration and better fuel economy. But I’m not sure if driver really doesn’t feel any sound of shift-change like advertisement said or not.

Let’s back to D-Platform and talk in depth.
Entire of this is UHSS (Ultra High-strength Steel). Its value of toughness is 980 Mpa. Meanwhile that’s lightweight but more tough and imprssive to withstand to any conditions in the real world than ever.
Also added X-type strucure at the area in front of front pillar. For more quiet ride and reduces down the rolling behavior.
Additionally, also emphasized the structure at underneath-body area.
What optional is Sunroof and Navigation system. 250XV V6 buyers can have just one from two or have them all.
And what about other movements while Nissan Thailand preparing the new Teana to the market?
– Replace Thierry Viadieu by Toru Hasegawa as the new M.D. since February.
– And just renamed Thailand headquarter corporate as Nissan Motor Thailand (just by the day that J32 officially unvieled). And after that will rejuvenate the organization structure of the company by 1st April.
Mr. Toru also hope for newer Teana that would be a great good changes for good reasons in Nissan brand.
